Terms of Service

§ 1. General Provisions

  1. These Terms of Service ('Regulations') govern the use of the online educational platform available at www.practicalpath.ca ('Platform'), operated by Practical Path Learning Inc. ('Provider'). By using the Platform, you agree to these Regulations.
  2. The Provider offers educational services through the Platform as described herein. These Regulations constitute a binding agreement between the User and the Provider. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Platform.
  3. The Provider reserves the right to amend these Regulations at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes. Continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Regulations.
  4. All content on the Platform, including courses, text, graphics, and logos, is the intellectual property of the Provider and is protected by copyright law. Unauthorized use or distribution of this content is strictly prohibited.

§ 2. Definitions

  • Platform – The online educational service operated by the Provider at www.practicalpath.ca, offering courses and related materials.
  • User – Any natural person with full legal capacity who registers an Account and uses the Services provided on the Platform.
  • Account – A personalized profile created by the User upon registration, allowing access to the Platform's Services.
  • Services – All educational content, tools, materials, and functionalities made available to the User by the Provider via the Platform.
  • Regulations – This document, specifying the terms and conditions for using the Platform.

§ 3. Type and Scope of Services Provided

  1. The Provider offers paid access to a library of online courses focused on practical life skills. The scope of access depends on the subscription plan selected by the User. Services are provided electronically and require an internet connection.
  2. Services include access to video lessons, downloadable worksheets, community forums, and other educational materials. The Provider is not responsible for the User's application of the knowledge gained and does not guarantee specific outcomes.
  3. The Provider reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice. The Provider is not liable to the User or any third party for any such modification.
  4. Access to Services is granted upon successful registration of an Account and payment of the applicable subscription fee. Fees are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) as chosen by the User.

§ 4. Technical Requirements

  1. To use the Platform, the User must have a device with internet access and a modern web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) with JavaScript and cookies enabled. The quality of video content may depend on the User's internet connection speed.
  2. The User is responsible for ensuring their device and software meet these requirements. The Provider is not responsible for technical issues arising from the User's hardware or software.
  3. The Platform is designed to be accessible on various devices, including desktops, tablets, and smartphones, but performance may vary depending on the device.

§ 5. Rights and Obligations of the User

  1. The User is obligated to provide true and accurate information during registration and to keep this information updated. The User is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account password.
  2. The User agrees to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Regulations. The User may not share their account access with any other person. Each account is for single-user access only.
  3. The User is prohibited from copying, distributing, selling, or otherwise exploiting the content of the Platform without the prior written consent of the Provider. All materials are for the User's personal, non-commercial use.
  4. The User agrees not to post or transmit any material that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable on any part of the Platform, including community forums.
  5. The User is responsible for all activities that occur under their Account. The User must notify the Provider immediately of any unauthorized use of their Account.

§ 6. Final Provisions

  1. Any disputes arising from the implementation of these Regulations shall be resolved in accordance with the laws of the province of Alberta, Canada. The competent court for resolving disputes shall be the court with jurisdiction over the Provider's registered office.
  2. If any provision of these Regulations is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to be in full force and effect.
  3. These Regulations constitute the entire agreement between the User and the Provider regarding the use of the Platform.
